Our History

The National Chengchi University EMA Program in Communication was founded in September 2001 as part of the Department of Journalism, and was transferred to the College of Communication in September 2004 to address the changing trends of society and the media.

Not only does the Program provide engaging intellectual discourse among the fields of journalism, advertising, public relations, communication and digital media, it also offers comprehensive courses on media information, communication management, marketing and advertising. This effort is aimed at developing critical thinking and problem solving skills for students, and to encourage them to apply their expertise to the complex problems of today's world.

The Program serves as an ongoing forum for students, teachers and key figures in industry to interact in inspiring ways. By combining academic depth and practical applications in teaching and research, the Program is acknowledged as a center of excellence in research on communication.
